I had a magical morning hiking Koh Puh Mountain with Mr Ann. He’s an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide and made the whole experience a truly unforgettable one. The trail through the jungle is unmarked and would be impossible to navigate without the expertise of a savvy guide like Mr Ann. Once we reached the top after around an hour’s climb, Mr Ann prepared coffee and offered me a delicious plate of home cooked food to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views. Mr Ann took me down the mountain via the adventurous route, which involved a little “abseiling” in parts that were particularly steep. It was such a fun and challenging experience and Mr Ann made sure of my safety throughout. A hike with Mr Ann is the ideal activity for those that want to go off the beaten track and love being in amongst nature. I really can’t recommend it enough!

Mr. Ann is the best person to lead you on a hike to the top of Koh Pu mountain. It would be too difficult to find your way to the best view points on your own, so do take care to book with Mr. Ann. I have done lots of guided mountain treks throughout the world and he is the best I’ve experienced in recent memory. He will make sure you reach the top safely and once we did, I was surprised and delighted to find he had hiked up with a thermos of hot coffee and two real mugs to enjoy it from! The coffee was the best I had on the island, and Mr. Ann informed me it is hand roasted by a local woman. After coffee, Mr. Ann proceeded to set out a picnic of fresh mango sliced onsite, and steamed chicken with rice and toppings. He brought real cutlery and served everything from a tiffin, which made me happy because I hate to generate waste on a hike. The way down went as well as the way up and Mr. Ann was very considerate of my pace and my safety. After the hike, he took me to another great coffee place and the next day I booked a tour around the island with him. I met many great local people during this ride around on his tricycle motorbike and experienced a lot of the island that I otherwise wouldn’t have. We finished our day with an incredible kway tiaw “Chao ley” style in Ban Koh Pu. If you go to Koh Jum/Koh Pu, definitely call him!

Fantastic Muay Thai training session! An is layed back and friendly guy with great experience. His self built gym has everything you need for a good session. Suitable for all levels of experience. His opening hours as of Feb 2019 are 9:00 - 11:00am or 3:00 - 6:00pm. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're on Koh Pu! Check out my pictures.
