Phi Phi Banyan Villa

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is amazing—very central and convenient for exploring the area. The breakfast selection was great, offering plenty of variety to suit different tastes. The pool was also a highlight, providing a relaxing atmosphere. However, there were a couple of downsides. At night, it could get quite noisy due to nearby beach parties, which went on late. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom could definitely be refreshed. Despite these points, the staff was welcoming and friendly, making the stay enjoyable overall.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this hotel during the low season! While we knew it was a 3-star hotel when we booked, the experience truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s architecture and decor are authentically Thai, with beautiful wooden design throughout, giving it a warm and charming atmosphere. The double bed was huge and extremely comfortable, and although the pillows were a bit bigger than I prefer (I like them flatter), it didn’t take away from the overall comfort. The pool was a real highlight—clean, spacious, and surrounded by trees that provided just the right amount of shade. We also found the free towels for the pool and beach incredibly handy. Our shower was excellent, and the Garden View room was the perfect size. The little veranda was a great spot to relax and chat about our day’s adventures while our daughter played nearby. The well-maintained garden added even more beauty and serenity to the surroundings, and the gym was good with a lovely view. The location couldn’t have been better! We were tucked away from the busy and noisy parts of the island, yet only a 5-minute walk from the pier, which made it super easy for us to carry our bags and navigate with our little one. Breakfast was a treat, with a nice variety of fresh fruits, coffee, yogurt, breads, bacon, and traditional Thai breakfast options like soups and noodles. The fresh omelets were simply delicious and a must-have every morning! The only small downsides were that the WiFi in the rooms was a bit slow, so it might not be ideal for digital nomads needing to work, and the air conditioning could get a bit cold at night. However, once we adjusted the settings, we were perfectly comfortable. The staff, though, were absolutely 5-star! They welcomed us with early check-in without any issues, and throughout our stay, they were always kind, friendly, and eager to help. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. All in all, this was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely love to return!

The Phi Phi Banyan Villa Hotel is in a great location. It’s right next to the beach, and you can easily get to shops and restaurants. The room we stayed in was comfortable and looked out onto a well-kept garden.||The staff working at the front desk were really nice and welcoming. The swimming pool isn’t big, but it’s clean. The breakfast was just okay and could have had more variety. They didn’t have a coffee machine.||Overall, we had a nice time at the hotel. It’s a good place to relax and enjoy your holiday

Stayed one night and loved it that much, I stayed another 2, loved all the staff, very friendly and accommodating. Buffet Breakfast by the beach included. I was always great d with a smile. Big thank you to the girls at the front desk for the big smiles and friendly nature. 🙏

I’ve been going to Phi phi island since 25 years ago, broke my heart when the tsunami devastated this island, yesterday we visited Pho phi as I often do, for a day trip , but it was the first time visiting for my Thai partner. We were enjoying this incredibly beautiful island so much we decided to stay the night even though we had our hotel back in Aonang town and only a small back pack for a day trip, but these days everything you need is in your phone anyways. We booked a room at Banyan villa through Expedia, and let the front desk of hotel we will purchase some clothes and we will check in , an hour is er when we tried trey would not allow us to check in because my partner didn’t have her Identification, and wouldn’t accept the picture of the ID , the reservation was under my name and there was no need for hers to even present hers, and on top of it they made no effort to refund our money or help in any way. The money portion or missing the return boat is nothing, but seeing such lack of kindness and helpfulness is rare in Thailand. Phi phi is a place that is full of joy and positive attitude by locals and tourist, it saddened me that we were targeted to be treated in this manner by the staff, specially when there are a few dozen resorts Chester and better in two blocks radius. Go visit amazing Phi phi island, but stay far from Banyan Villa

Save yourself the trouble. Please don't bother coming here. Especially if you choose a room in the Banyan Wing. Forget about coming back to a hotel room and feeling cool and refresh. This room is a humid mess. The aircon barely works, the heat that just builds up in the room, makes you not want to be there. There are restaurants on Phi Phi with open air that feels cooler than this humid box. Look, the pool is alright. The staff are fantastic and really helpful, but other than that, nothing else jumps out and says I'm GREAT! NO, nothing else. I appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, they're great, nothing wrong with them. It's all to do with the hotel itself. The rooms, the food, the facilities, they're all sub-par. The location is good, very close to the pier, and lots of restaurants around. But, given that Phi Phi is a tiny island, everything is within walking distance, so go find yourself a better accommodation than Banyan Villa. I could go on, but there is no need to waste more of my time on this review.

Definitely my fav staying spot In Phi phi Islands, less than a 5 minutes walk from the pier, right in the center of the main island, next to the attractions, and you can't hear anything at night if you Want a good night sleep. The staff was amazing. ❤️

Everyone’s comments are about right, but we found our air and our mattress and pillows to be fine. The shower did not drain, but we have run into that in Thailand and several other hotels. The gym is very nice but yes it does not have any air or water to drink. You would have to buy it. Also we had to buy ice for our cocktails from the hotel and there are only six lounge chairs around the pool and they’re mini mini rooms so you have to get to the pool very early to get a spot. Phi phi is a great place for adventure, so this was a OK hotels for what we are looking for on a budget.

Many reasons for not booking this hotel. Infact you shouldn't book. They deliberately give you room with less cooling airconditioner rooms and they will waste your time by saying you need to give time for cooling. The other hand the flush broken. When finally complaining 2 3 times when you loose your patience they will give you a good room. Only the pool side rooms are good but that amazing. No proper lights in the rooms sometimes you need to use torch to see things in the dark area. Air conditioner is on your head after hours you will feel cold hitting on your head. Lastly and very important they think we are thief. I booked this hotel for 60$ per night but they put a blame on me that they can't find a hand towel and they charge me 200 baht as a penalty. They think I can't afford a hand towel but I can afford this hotel room. So if you read my review please re think to book this amazing hotel on your own risk.

The hotel itself is beautiful and quiet and well situated. However my partner and I discovered that the room we were staying in was peppered with human blood. On the headboard, on the door on the ceiling. We complained immediately asking to move room or to have the room sanitised but reception could do nothing for us. I have complained to the resort formally via email with multiple chase ups and have never got a response. Appalling. Imagine how de sanitary this was and how disturbing. Imagine if we had had children with us. I will upload photos
