Strengths

Natural Setting: The bungalows are surrounded by beautiful gardens and tropical foliage, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Comfortable Accommodations: The bungalows are typically well-equipped with essential amenities, including comfortable beds, air conditioning, and private bathrooms, making for a cozy stay.
Affordability: JJ Bungalow is often considered a budget-friendly option, making it a great choice for travelers looking for value without sacrificing comfort.

Weaknesses

Basic Amenities: Some guests have noted that the facilities might be more basic compared to upscale resorts, which may not suit those looking for luxury.
Wi-Fi Issues: There have been occasional reports of inconsistent Wi-Fi connectivity, which could be a drawback for guests needing reliable internet access.
Limited Dining Options: While there are places nearby, dining options directly at the bungalow may be limited, requiring guests to venture out for meals.
Varied Room Quality: As with many bungalow-style accommodations, the quality can vary depending on the specific unit, so it’s worth checking reviews for the specific bungalow you plan to book.

Overall

JJ Bungalow is a great choice for travelers seeking a budget-friendly, tranquil experience on Phi Phi Island. Its beautiful natural setting, friendly staff, and cozy accommodations make it a lovely place to unwind. If you’re looking for a more authentic, laid-back vibe away from the hustle and bustle, this bungalow could be an ideal fit!

Gorgeous stay off the main drag in Phi Phi! Super nice as it is a quiet place where you can get a good night's sleep. The stairs are a bit steep, but definitely not a dealbreaker. Fresh towels everyday were an incredibly nice touch! We would LOVE to stay here again! (:

Room is spacious and so is the bathroom. My main issue was the smell of dampness is the air- this actually gave me a cough staying there the first night. So much so we moved rooms the second night. It may of been just our room. There is also a lot of stairs for anyone wanting to stay. We were prepared but some may not be

A lovely room with all amenities needed for self catering, a balcony and infinity pool with sun loungers. Staff are friendly and offer great service. Rooms are serviced daily. Its located in a quiet area around the back of the island towards the viewpoint. If you are looking for a quiet accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the town and beach party then it is an ideal spot within a few minutes walk to the town centre.

We stayed here for two nights, and liked the location - close enough to walk to everything in town, but no noise from the party scene. As others have mentioned, the path on the way to the hotel goes by a spot that doesn't smell great. When we checked in, the room we booked wasn't ready so we were upgraded to a family room which was nice, clean and had a big bathroom. The hotel is quiet (didn't see a lot of others guests), and we enjoyed our little balcony. The pool didn't seem to be open. There were quite a few mosquitoes around but we didn't get bit. There's a little market right at the base of the stairs. There were a lot of stairs to get to our room, and I don't believe any rooms are on any sort of ground level so something to keep in mind. Their Wifi seemed very spotty. Overall, great value and highly recommended for the nice and clean room, especially compared to some of the other accommodations in Phi Phi.

I had a nice stay here. It's a short walk away from the busy/noisy area, so I was glad about that. There are a lot of stairs leading up to the bungalows & you need to walk past a sewage place that doesn't smell so great to get there, but those were the only issues. It didn't notice the smell once I was there. I was surprised at how trashy Ko Phi Phi was in general, but this place did a nice job at concealing that I guess. The pool was great - it was in good condition & I had it all to myself much of the time I was there. It was nice having my own bungalow. I was able to leave some wet things out on the porch to dry. The bed & bathroom were fine - comfortable & clean enough. And don't think I had any issues with wifi. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but I think it was ok for what you get.

wow, 3 years since I last stayed here. Had a whole week on Phi Phi this time, the hotel was very quiet & had the pool to myself everyday. I've suggested trimming some of the trees around the pool, as it is in shade a lot of the day||||Huge room with huge terrace outside too, with good A/C & wifi, & a huge comfy bed. ||||Every visit, I always check what other hotels are available in Tonsai, price-wise for what you get, this place is hard to beat in my opinion

was really impressed with this place, spacious well designed room with daily cleaning if you'd like, which helps with all the sand. comfy beds, nice big room/bathroom about a 4 min walk into town, just be aware lots of steps up to the rooms, so if you're older or disabled might not be the best fit

I love this place. Stay there for a week. Very spacious room. The toilet looks old. They have big pool also. The price not that expensive. Moreover its quite far from beach so you can sleep well at night without party noise
