This guy basically ruined our vacation. I booked this place, despite some negative reviews, but I should not have. Even though I paid for a week he kicked us out on the second day. Fortunately the travel agency put us into another resort which turned out to be much better. This man is only interested in cash, nothing else. A real jerk. We had dinner once, but rather walked to the nearest village 2 kms in the dark than repeat it. It is a rip off. On the whole island dish prices are between 40 and 80 baht whereas here the lowest is 120. Take my advice, go somewhere else. Anyone in the village is a better host. The beach was full of glass shards, the water level too low to swim above the rocks. No kayak rental around. The bungalow was very low quality, which at first seemed romantic, but it was not. For the same price you find well equipped resorts with wonderful beach, free kayak, cheap food, close to the village. Never again.

We loved to stay here again. The bungalows are very nice and there are just some steps between you and the beach. There you will find also a nice bar, Mat (the owner), his family and friendly stuff. Mat is a good entertainer, can help you with everything and his wife makes sooo delicious food. We would come back again and again : )

I think there is some difference on the bungalows, but the one I had was nothing much! To flush the toilet you needed to fill a bucket of whater and pore it in. Buggs where all over the place. Bathroom was onley concrete and no heater on the water. Rhe owner is service minded and fixes what you need. I got a scooter delivered on the doorstep for 300 Bath and tjen i had it for 24 hours. Drove around the island and found there is a lot of better places to spend some time too! Like the beach north/west and the one on the south tip has some bungalow resorts that is better! The last fhisherman is where you go if you whant to save cash and don't mind a bit of nature when you sleep 😉 Ko Jam is a quiet plaze, you will not find any party, but you will be alone at the beach if you go to the right place. At the most i had about 10 people at one beach, and that beach was like 6 km long....

Good location right by the beach but a lot of trash around. Unreliable quality of food - had some fruit for breakfast which went bad, meal served with a cigarette in the same hand etc. Wouldnt be surprised if our bungalow collapsed any time soon, the base was rotten through. Very raw experience.

tl;dr: koh yum is beautiful, last fisher is not. Go to Tingrai Bay Resort instead. (No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.) honestly, I can't understand why anybody would give this place 5 stars. If anywhere, go to Tingrai Bay Resort next door. I don't know where to start: The bungalows are very basic and not that clean. They are ok for sleeping, but not much more. We stayed 5 days and hadn't cleaned it once. The food is average, definitely far from the best thai food you can get. Comparable to any takeout in a western city. Service is slow. The people are friendly, however. The particular part of the beach is very stony and not a nice place to be, as mentioned, walk 50 meters to the left and stay in a place that's just a little more expensive bur offers so so so much more in terms of ambiente, food, accomodation, things to do (kayak, massage etc.) Last Fisher is under no circumstances a recommendation. Another downturn is that you are very close to the only bar on the beach opened by some moron from the UK, unnerving you with drunken people and way-too-loud 90s tunes from a shabby stereo. Don't know what those guys want on Koh Yum, but I guess you have to live with it. By the way - people who say that Koh Yum is unspoiled and not touristy do not only lack judgement but are seriously ill in my opinion. Yes the island is beautiful but there are tourists everywhere. Yet if you look for it, you'll find a place to relax here and there.

I not sure, whether I like it or not. The bungalows are pretty battered. We've stayed 5 nights and there was no room-service at all ( cleaning, new towels,etc.). Probably if we would have ask for it:). The food is ok but pricey in comparison to the other resorts. I would not recommend this accomodation if you can get anothet one ( like tang ray or koh jum resort). Both look much nicer and the service is excellent.

Very warm "welcome" for all guests. We stayed and ate at the last fisher - very much recommended and super friendly. Bungalow: Yes, there is bamboo bungalows too. Which is the place that we came for to Thailand. A remote feeling beach on a less crowded island. Sweet little basic bungalows, newly built in 2014, good matress, fly net, coconut open air shower, flush toilet, clean - all you need for that robinson flair, that we were looking for. Wifi that can be turned on for you, which comes in handy for further trip planning. We stayed 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer, hanging out in the hamock, chilling on the bamboo furniture that Matt build so nicely, enjoying the ocean view of your bungalow veranda. Matt also organizes transport into the village, e.g. for diving, shopping, etc. Simply call for reservation or show up, as we did. The "On Lee" bungalow longtail boat was friendly enough to take us from the ferry and drop us on the beach. + 3 minute walk along the beach. Restaurant: We agree, with the other positive comments. Fresh seafood from the catch of the day in the near by village: Curry crab, barracuda, tasty curries with shrimps out of a coconut and lots of local thai food to enjoy. Very reassonably priced, considering the rather remote island. Order a day ahead if you have special ideas and it will happen. We heard of happy other guests that enjoyed the beach bbq. Matts wife gave us free crab cooking lessons and helped with feeding :-) Enjoying the sunsets from the restaurant/beach, with cool drinks/fun and relaxed atmosphere was the best. Again, well prized. Thank you so much for the great time to Matt and his family and Mango, for some good fun! best wishes from coconut and roland

It's a nice place to stay. It was absolutly what we expected. A rough hut in the woods, close to the beach on a relatively low populated Island. Sure it seams to be a little bit expensive and the service is not related to a touristic 5 Star bungalow on the mainland. But keep in mind that this is an island with no transport connection. Bringing food and supplies to this location isn't easy for the local people. The Bungalows are fine. Keep in mind that you are in the nature. Its absolutly normal that there are animals and insects are around you. Dont blame the people for that. You should also keep in mind that western standarts are WESTERN standarts. Its normal to flush a toilet with a bowl and sure the shower is cold... on a freaking warm island. If you cant handle such simple things. There is a resort for grannys down in the south. Thanks to Matt and his Family. We enjoyed it very much and we had a great time.

Absolutely stoked to have found this special hidden gem in Koh Jum. I came here with my friends for dinner tonight, we were immediately welcomed with relaxing, authentic and comfortable vibes. I know we're in Thailand - our tastebuds have been incredibly spoilt on a little adventure of their own, however this has easily become one of my favourite places to eat at. We're all very full and feeling very content. Thank you 🧡

Nice owner and asbolutly amazing jungle surrounding. The huts are 10 seconds close to the beach. You find the cheapest cocktails there. For food take a walk along the beach, there are pleaces where it is cheaper
