I have been there 3 years ago. It was quite nice place, and a little bit scary somehow. There was no more guests, only our little group in the top of season. We saw no more staff, only receptionist. Breakfast was nice. I saw the most beautiful sunset right there. We have had a nice relax in silence.
We rented a Villa private pool and we loved it! The bed was big and very confortable , the pool was clean and totally private surrounded with long walls and just ouside our room , with had a showeroom and bathtub that we loved too . The hotel had a restaurant with amazing food and very correcte prices . we had the oppurtinity to meet one of their stuff who was nice enough to recommand us a different dish. the breakfast was good , not a buffet but consistent enough. The service was top notch and they were very helpful.
The resort looks way different then pictures. It is old, most of the things require some renovation, and the rooms smelled really bad. We took a villa with the private pool so the view was very nice but the beach is unfortunately with a black sand and rocks. Not really a place where you want to swim. Beer at the restaurant is very expensive but the food is decent and fresh. The resort is far away from everything and getting there and to some other places is quite expensive. We booked 7 nights but after 2 we decided to check out.
Nice place to stay, but a little misleading. Avoid getting the private pool suite, it is not worth it.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. However, there is no shuttle to anywhere. The taxi prices quoted are ridiculous and you can get a private driver for around 2000 baht a day. They claim they have a shuttle service, but it is only once a week to emerald beach.
WiFi is also pretty bad in the suites in the middle. Pool is nice, beach is a bit dirty, didn't see any of the locals swim.
A couple of small shops near the hotel if you walk on the main road towards Rimlay restaurant.
Place is in disrepair and needs to be fixed, but nice area if you like sense of adventure and being secluded.
A really quiet place with breathtaking view of the bay. Extremely helpful staff taking really good care of you. Very nice and well kept pool. Don't come here if you expect noise and bars and amusement. But if you seek solitude and a truly hospitable and very Thai experience you could not do better. Rooms where clean and tidy. We loved it!
While our pool villa had a private pool, the disadvantage of our bedroom was that it faced the pool area. Everybody using the public pool could watch us in our bedroom. Therefore, we kept the curtains closed at all times.||Smoking was allowed at the outside tables of the restaurant. Being non-smokers, we chose to sit in the restaurant at dinner. However, inside it was most sticky due to the lack of air conditioning, despite the northern winter.||Breakfast with egg and chicken sausage was okay, but nothing to write home about.
It's a nice place, but it's far away from anything else. You can rent a scooter to get around and there are trips you can book but you can't walk out and go to any shops or restaurants or bars, as there is nothing nearby. The rooms are nice but they have a glass door for the toilet facing the bed, and a large seperate room for a bathtub and sink, I feel the toilet and shower should have gone in that room. If all you want to do is stay by the pool and walk by the beach away from any crowds this is great, but if you would like to walk out and get a bit of life then you should stay closer to one of the towns.
Nantra is a really nice quiet place, perfect for unwinding after some stressful days in the bigger city. It is located about 1 hour from Krabi, and 30 minutes from the airport, making it the essential airport hotel. The beach has grey sand, but the hotel has a nice little place with white sand, as well as the pool. Very friendly staff, and nice clean rooms
Our stay was lovely and it is a good bit away from everything as theres no cafe around the area and the closes restaurants are about half an hour away. Our private villa with pool is gorgeous with a big semi outdoor bathtub although the towels and robes did smell musty they should make sure before somebody checks in that everythings nice and fresh other than that room was pretty clean and bed comfortable. ||Breakfast was the same every morning the only difference was what type of eggs youd like to have but it comes with chicken sausage coffee and tea and two types of fruit (watermelon & pineapple) they do not have a variety of options for breakfast so it gets a bit boring when youre staying for 4 days like we did, eating the same thing. They do have a bit of options when it comes to lunch or dinner.||If youre planning to be completely isolated from evrything and just want peace and quite this will be suitable but theres no activities in the premises except for they do have a free service drop off to Emerald Pool and Hot Spring and a paid island hopping trip which cost about 6k baht or more. Scooter rental for the day cost about 300 baht we rented one to go around to the shops and going to Ao Nang which took us about an hour and 10 mins more or less it is cheaper than getting a taxi for about 1200 baht one way which gets costly. ||Besides that the staff were friendly and tries their best to accommodate your needs specially the receptionist "Yah" she was lovely and very helpful.

We were very satisfied. Although it is quite dislocated place we enjoyed quiet and not much people. Very good place for quiet holiday. But scooter or car is a must to be flexible and be able to get here and there. Everyday cleaning, nice personnel, good kept swimming pool. Good restaurant at place. It was over our expectations and would love to go there again. Very nice places around to see local culture , animals etc.
