The room was comfortable, accommodating my family of three, including my 3-year-old child. It was large, offering a picturesque view on one side and a sufficient bathroom. However, the overall appearance of the place seemed somewhat neglected, and the 85 steps (I counted) leading up to the registration desk might deter many potential guests. Despite this, they did offer a complimentary service for luggage transportation from the port to the room, along with a pre-arranged service from the hotel to the port. Our stay was smooth, and we didn't cause any inconvenience to the hotel, opting not to request room cleaning. However, the hotel failed to provide toothbrushes or bathroom slippers. The breakfast set provided was quite modest.

Yes, as others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs—about 150 steps to reach the reception, and even more to get to your room. Since Grab isn't available here, you'll need to go out for food at least twice a day, which makes your stay a bit more challenging. The view is nice, but since we went out for meals every day, we didn't have many opportunities to enjoy the view from the hotel. They do have a luggage carrying service. we didn't know about that, but you should definitely ask the hotel about it.

Very enjoyable stay, rooms good size and clean, staff accommodating and welcoming, breakfast was also good nothing complicated. Yes, there a lot of steps and no alternative access, but this is unavoidable due to how the town is built into a hillside. There are few mopeds that go through the streets themselves. If you have issues with walking, breathing or any health conditions that may impair your ability to climb to an elevated level this hotel is not for you.

It’s a decent and cheap place to stay. There was a lot of mould on the shower curtain and on our pillow which we asked to be changed. There were gorgeous kittens which made it more bearable

My 1 star rating is simply for the lack of customer service. The one positive from our stay there was that they have porters that meet you from the port and carry your bag to the hotel. That’s where the customer service ended. The guy working the desk was cold and unhelpful. We checked into our room and saw that the water was running brown. Reminiscent of the river in the OG Willy wonka movie. We enquired at the reception and he told us that there had been a water leak, and the brown rust water was simply the water that was left in the bottom of their tanks. Maybe they would get some more later 🤷‍♂️. Says it so casual like adding more garlic to a recipe like yeah, maybe try adding some garlic? Anyways, turns out they didn’t get more water and by the time we returned to our room we couldn’t shower or use any water at all. Not ideal. So in the morning we ask if there is any kind of compensation. We didn’t get the compensation or even as much as an apology. Fair enough, but here is your 1 star review.

Don’t let the negative reviews dissuade you from giving this unique hotel stay a chance. Sure, there’s some stairs and sure the rooms aren’t updated or modern, but this is a small island hotel. The location is away from the loud party music and if there’s a tsunami, you’ll definitely survive. Love those positives. The staff at this property is incredibly friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage all the way from the ferry pier to our hotel room. And back again! Would definitely stay again. Oh, and the views are spectacular.

If you’re happy to climb 200+ stairs to your room each time you want to return then you will love this hotel. The view from this room is one of the best views I’ve ever experienced from a hotel. The staff are very friendly and do offer to carry your bags both up and down. I will stress though, if you’re not fit it will be a challenge to the top. Hotel is in great location once down all the steps and the island itself is beautiful.

The hotel is located at half of viewpoint 1,2 stairway, so if you get tired easy it won’t be the best hotel. At the top the view is amazing. The major problem was the noise made by the cleaning staff in the morning, but the night was peaceful. The room was smaller than I thought, but cozy and comfortable. The staff is amazing and willing to help. I needed to checkout late due medical condition and they were thoughtful about it
