Purin Resort & Restaurant

The place is unlike the picture provided on Agoda and the hotel in it’s current state is very rundown and cleanliness is no where to be seen. Our carpets had stains on them. The bathroom had alot of dust and dirt in various places. The breakfast is okay. The place is also very far away from anything else in krabi. Wouldn’t recommend for the price.

It is highly recommended to stay in the beachfront villa (with swimming pool). Very nice big room. The bathroom/shower need, however, an upgrade. The location is rather remote, so it is recommend to stay at this resort if you have your own transport. The service is good. The sea is nice for a swim.

The place is located far off in a village side beach probably available only to you day amd night, few guests and fewer locals. The service is also to the point, the staff like anywhere else in Thailand is courteous and caters for your needs. Rooms are spacious as well as beautifully designed, the bath tub suits tall guys and is at a very quiet and green area of the room. Well one of the only reason that I didn’t give 5 stars is because their Restaurant closed at 8 PM and thats a little too early for Thailand.

Very nice resort, out of the way but not an issue if you have a car. Breakfast options are quite limited but the staff is very helpful and the service is good.

The big cozy room and nice hotel set up compensate the remote location. 1 hour from Ao Nang. Quiet place by the Sea with sunset view

We had a very mixed experience here. We stayed in the room with private pool and sea view. Breathtaking view from your terrace. The room itself is very spacious but needs urgent attention and maintenance. The pool was dirty and not cleaned (leaves from days, pump was not working properly). The whole resort was unorganized and generally not clean. The restaurant is very expensive, luckily we found 2 local restaurants very close by. The whole place is lacking personality. For only the accommodation I would rate it a 2 star but because of the view and quietness I rate it a 3 star. Generally the resort didn’t meet our expectations and we left very disappointed.

Nice place for no traveling plan trip . Just chill in hotel and enjoy seaview will be nice . If travel or need to walk at night choose different place

I stopped by this resort to check it out and the manager showed me the rooms (which were very cute). I stayed for lunch and enjoy this beautiful resort and the day, the pool is deep enough and very clean. Beautiful sunset view there and the food was delicious, I had Pad Thai and it is the best I ever tried so far, and I tried many in my two years in Thailand. The only down side is that in low season the beach gets too much garbage with the ocean current from other places. Beside that it is a very good place to spend a few days quite and relaxing!

Enjoyed a fabulous 4 night stay here. The rooms were lovely with a huge bath and private outdoor space. The poolside area was perfect for the area's main activity, sunbathing (side note, the area around Had Yao is pretty sparse, and Krabi town is a 45 minute drive away - though we'll worth the trip! If it's rainy you might struggle a little bit for things to do, but the resort offers bikes and kayaks to keep you occupied!). The beach isn't very 'soft' sandy and is a little grubby as there's literally no one else to share it with. That said, it's an absolutely gorgeous unspoilt 10km length of sand, and the pool is more than enough to make up for it. The restaurant was pretty much the only option around, so got a little bit tired after eating breakfast lunch and dinner there for 5 days, but certainly not bad! The staff are amazing and couldn't be more keen to help. Lillian, the owner, is also amazing and helped negotiate us taxis (and organised a few boat trips to the Phi Phi islands as well). Overall very nice, especially if you're looking to totally unplug!

My wife and I stayed for the new year eve 2018 in room/ villa no 3 and were mainly saddened by the owner/ host Ms Lilian.||||We checked in late afternoon, went in for a quick shower and realised - no hot water = neither in the shower, nor the bathtub! - Not wanting that to spoil our moods, we simply brought that to the attention of the housekeeping folks and went to the beach. The beach is the best part about this hotel - it was literally just us on the entire beach and the sea!||||In an hour, it started pouring, we were feeling cold (really cold) and went back to try the shower again, still no hot water! The housekeeping staff brought it to Ms Lilian's attention and god knows why, she made me feel very uncomfortable for having complained - her words were, "you can't expect hot water on a beach resort" and "try the bathtub, should I send someone to run it for you". I was left thinking I know how to fill a bathtub, why wouldnt she rather focus on helping us take a shower somewhere"?||||Anyway, 2-3 more hours of electricians efforts went in vain and we never got hot water/ any substitute arrangement till the next day. We were offered to shower up next day in another room that had an early check-out but we found it weird to take our clothes to another room just for a shower||||We shrugged this off in the spirit of the NYE spirit and went on to join the lovely barbecue by the beach party for all guests. The setup was very intimate, friendly and the barbeque/ grills were absolutely delicious. What mired the experience was again Ms Lilian's continued negative outlook towards us. It was just 10 rooms/ families and Ms Lilian spent at least 10-15 minutes chatting with each family over the next 2-3 hours - EXCEPT US - didnt even pass by our table, NEVER EVEN SMILED. I spent the NYE pre-occupied with the thought, "where did we go wrong?" ||||We finally left next morning without a shower, didnt bother having their breakfast. Thankfully we had a lovely stay at De Malee pool villas for next 2 nights - a stark contrast with lovely staff, highly courteous and attentive service||||P.S. During the hot water conversation previous evening, Lilian passingly remarked "we could take our money back if we wished ..". We never asked, she never offered/ followed up!!||||The room - well fancy but very impractical - lot of unnecessary space that you only use to walk around, slippery cheap flooring, specially when they have a bathtub bang in the middle of the room, a very narrow garden that one wouldnt go to considering the hotel beach is just 20 steps away - overall, the quality of materials used, space planning, practicality of the room is a letdown compared to how it seems in the pictures||||On the positive side, her husband (forgot his name), was warm, conversant and supportive
