AVOID THIS PLACE Location is great, staff was friendly but was barely present. Only seen her on check in and had to wait like 30min for her to show up. Room is old and a little smelly. The worst part is the Bathroom. It has a very fishy smell and the shower water looked slighly yellow. After showering you definitely didnt feel cleaned. The cat was cute though.

Location is perfect and that room is as in the pictures: basic but with the essential and extremely clean. Also, the room is super quiet even tho the hotel is in the center, super close to the market. For its price I think it’s a good deal, especially for backpackers.

Quite a small hotel, room was basic. Provides water, soap, shampoo. Very clean room. Bed was ok. Alot of eating choices nearby. It's quite close to the pier. You need to look for the Post Office sign. Pretty nice place. Would return.

Sea Shell Hut on Koh Phi Phi Don has been more than a hotel to us. We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 3. We paid 2000 THB for two rooms, which in itself is a steal, especially considering how central the hotel is. In all honesty, the hotel is pretty much worn out. Everything is very basic, things start falling apart, it’s a very simple kind of hotel and not posh by any means. It’s definitely not a place you’d rent for 2 or 3 weeks, but perfect for a few nights to explore the island. We had everything we needed, the AC worked well, so did the WiFi. Rooms were clean, spotless clean, so were towels and the bedding. We slept well and though you’re in the middle of everything, it was super quiet. The most noticeable thing are the owners. I have yet to meet a woman friendlier than our host. She was the warmest, loveliest person you could ever wish for. When our daughter had to be admitted to the local hospital, it took her less than 5 minutes to come check on us. I have never experienced anything like that. We went on a private Longtail trip with her husband, at a very good rate and we had a fantastic time. He was so helpful and patient and really made the most of our day. Again, we could not have asked for more. If we ever come back to Phi Phi Don, we wouldn’t pick any other place to stay. We will miss this place and the people that made us feel so very welcome. ♥️

I liked the hotel a lot. Fo course its not 5 star conditions but the hotel is very clean (its being cleaned a few times per day). The room is also clean. The beds are big and comfortable. The bathroom is specious. The guy on the reception is very polite. The air conditioning works perfect. The location is great - close to the pier, quite close to the parties, close to a market with cheap thai food. But still on the side so in the night and in the morning is very quite so nothing was waking us up.

5/5 Location||Location is perfect, it may not be on the beach front but its very accessible to everything. Just few walks and you'll get to the beach to the market to the party! Will definitely recommend if you are after convenience - location wise!||||3/5 Staff||There isn't always a staff at the reception but there's a note advising you to call/message a number. Being a hostel it is important to always have a receptionist to attend to guests needs, maybe they're just too busy but you're running a hostel so its a must. But the guy in the reception was kind enough to let us in the room earlier while my partner is getting money from the bank to pay for the room. ||||4/5 Room||Room is spacious and bathroom water pressure is really good. AC is okay but they have a fan inside so you'll never feel warm. I caught some insect bites all over my body but wasn't sure if I got it from the hotel or could be from outside. ||||If you want a cheap hotel with good location I'd recommend this place.||||The Bad: That there isn't any reception when we arrived but he let us in early so fair enough.||||If you reach the bottom of this comment, Please give a thumbs up! thanks!

I have been on Phi Phi island twice. And both times, I ended up staying at this place. The receptionist is very friendly. The room is super small for the price we paid for but cheaper than most places on the island. The first visit, we stayed downstairs. It was dark and too noisy with the rooster waking us up every 2 hours or so. And there were spiders in the room. I was terrified. The shower is not quite great and is unadjustable. The shower head is facing the bathroom door so you have to close the bathroom door every time you shower. Otherwise, the water splashes every where. The second visit, we stayed upstairs. It's definitely brighter. I like it more. But the bathroom has a really weird smell. Not sure what it is from. Other than that, this place allows you to fill up drinking water if you have your own bottles. Great for eco-friendly folks.

Clean room, blanket has a hole, must take off shoes. Safe box is in ground floor, not in room. Is it safe? I dont think so. Hotel keeper is unfriendly. Rooms are glazed and have only a white curtain separating the street. Good location, in the center but not noisy. Should stay only 1 or 2 nights.
