what a beautiful place! Has everything you could want while on a holiday. Lovely clean bungalows, great Thai food and cocktails, relaxing hammocks and bean bags to watch the sunset over the sea, and the staff were great, thank you! 🌴🐚
What a beautiful island experience. The rooms were nestled high in the boathouse I felt like I was in a treehouse. Situated right at the waterfront with restaurants and bars and beaches all within reach. It felt like staying over at a mates place. The staff so friendly. The owners Ben, Mel and staff Kay and Su were always up for a conversation. The iced mojo mojito was my favourite! Dinner was simple and fresh. Hot fresh showers welcomed us as we freshened up after a day exploring the island. We will be back. It’s a real|Island getaway. Not 5 star hotel but 5 star for service, cleanliness and hospitality.. Thank you Sunflower Boathouse!!!!
Sadly raw sewage so close to the accommodation.|The staff were friendly and helpful. Truly a shame about the smell as it’s a lovely unique property. |All of Phi Phi is overrun with partygoers and the ecosystem and infrastructure can’t handle all our waste!
With proper directions, it is not difficult to find the boat house from the pier and you can have a little walk right through phi phi town to get to it. The boat house is right on the beach, but towards the rocky end. One can still have a swim though, if you navigate away from the rocks.||||The rooms are spacious but you have to climb a steep set of stairs to reach them. I felt though, that rooms, in particular the bathrooms could do with a good scrubbing especially as the shower area did not drain the water properly so water collected on the bathroom floor. ||So the down side is that one has to mop up after, which is not what you want to be doing when you are on holiday. Also, the rooms are not cleaned every day, one has to request for that.||||The food from the restaurant was delicious! Always fresh. The soups were amazing. The menu though, was limited. Could do with a bit more variety. The cocktails were on point. Served to perfection. The staff was super-friendly which is always a plus.||||Though ideally located and close to the shops and clubs, it is very noisy at night and if you don't intend to be clubbing every night, this is not a smart pick for your stay at phi phi. If you can deal with the noisy nights, and the little bathroom issue, go for it because the view in the morning at breakfast, is truly worth it.
The room was in a lovely location, right on the beach front. Wooden exterior and interior was lovely and the shared balcony area was nice. The bed was comfortable and the AC okay. Wifi was fast, not that we were told the password. The check-in experience here was us walking up to the counter, confusion being displayed for about five minutes with nothing being said to us and then someone taking us to our room without giving us any details about anything. We did not speak to anyone for the remainder of our stay. The check out was worse with us handing the key to someone and them saying nothing to us and walking away. The noise at night is insane, we were not worried as my partner and I are both easy to fall asleep and stay asleep but if you were even the slightest light sleeper then this place is next door to clubs that have LOUD music until 2am or so. Again we were not fazed but just a warning to those who might be.

I have drank and ate at the bar of Sunflower, but never had the chance to stay in the Boathouse before.
The Boathouse was much better that I had expected, a big bedroom with views of the beach, wonderfully hot shower and excellent Air Conditioning. The Boathouse has a charm that many of the 'bog standard' concrete hotels nearby lack. Great wifi, in the room and the bar.
Located right on the beach, with a great bar to chill at. It is a great place to enjoy Phi Phi to it's fullest.

Amazing bamboo house at phi phi.we booked this for one day and found is extremely nice experience. This is right at the beach. Most important thing we noticed were the amazing host at this guest house. The stay in this place will be in our memories for days to come. We wanted to spend some more days just because this stay was such amazing. But due to time constraints we could not extend. We got 2 large rooms here. One room was with 4 beds and another was consisting of 2 beds. The bathroom were spotlessly clean. The towels were fresh and clean. They provided all shampoo and soaps. AC were working perfectly fine and we got some rain also which made our stay even yaadgaar.
Totally loved this stay in phi phi and would like to visit again.
Met at the pier by friendly staff who helped us with our luggage. Lovely stroll through the phi phi town and then we arrived to a warm helpful reception. |Sunflower is quite unique as it’s a rustic boat treehouse type place. |We were then taken to our room. Staff again carried our luggage up the rustic stairs to our amazing treehouse type room. Very spacious. Everything we needed was on hand. Amazing air con! Lots of tea coffee and a kettle. Bathroom was adequate for what you need. Toilet and shower and toiletries provided. |The beds soooo comfortable. |We just loved it. |We had Tom Kha soup at the restaurant with an amazing view of the beach and sea. |Sunflower is on the party side and yes it can be considered noisy but it didn’t effect our sleep and the whole thing just added to a great holiday atmosphere here so please don’t let it put you off. |Would I come back here ? Most definitely! |Thank you to Mel and ALL at Sunflower Boathouse for a great few days. Loved it.
We booked one night in this place. The photos looked amazing however the reality was very different. We booked a sea view room, which we didn’t get. Climbed some questionable looking stairs to find a dark dingy room. The room was disgusting, we got out the shower and would have to wipe our feet the floor was dirty. ||We booked via booking.com where we paid for the trip using the card details we have used for every other hotel this holiday. We had confirmation emails for the payment. 11pm we were sat in our room and heard a knock on the door where a member of staff had advised our card details had declined. Not a problem, we checked our banking apps to double check nothing had come out then paid in cash. ||As my partner then got back into bed after paying he received an email from the owner, which could be taken as quite rude “please update your card details IMMEDIATELY” and “please do the right thing and make sure you pay for your room”. Considering we had already paid the staff and they had the card details for two days by this point, we found this very rude and felt like we were being accused. ||Save your money and stay in another hotel. After this we found another hotel for the same price with a pool and our own bungalow just round the corner which could only be described as beautiful
You get what you pay for. I stayed here with 4 other friends in the biggest room they have and we all loved it. It's not a five star hotel but the price reflects that! The place looks great and it felt like we were staying in a tree house. Yes the bathroom is small but you can see that from the pictures and one would assume someone who is staying here would look at the pictures before hand. It is right on the beach next to the party's and was perfect for what we were after. Air con was really good as well which is, to me, one of the most important things and looking at the place you wouldn't have thought it has air con as it looks like a tree house! We didn't have to many dealings with the staff but they were nice and friendly.
