We were greeted by a lady who was not interested enough to even put her phone down and stop her movie to help us out. The room we stayed in was decent, it was definitely overpriced but that’s phi phi island in a whole. The location was great close to the fun and the beach. It was pretty quiet at night. The room was kinda clean but could have been much cleaner. Some black mold starting in places etc. It has a little balcony that looked out into an alley and other apartments. The ac worked but was pretty loud. The bed was comfy and king size was awesome. We stayed 3 nights. Not sure if I would stay here again it definitely had its perks and flaws. If you just need a place to store your stuff and be close to the party and beach it’s good if you spend a lot of time in the room maybe look elsewhere.
We stayed at The White for 3 nights and found it to be a great stay! The room was very clean, the Wifi was good, and it had air-conditioning... all for an excellent price. And in contrast to other reviews, we found the staff extremely kind and hospitable. I was greeted by them nearly every time I left the hotel, and they were easygoing to bring us fresh towels when we asked. |In regard to the location: this could not have been more in the hub of Phi Phi. It was walking distance to everything- shops, bars, restaurants, the beach, etc.- but yet was not too noisy (despite Phi Phi’s notorious reputation of being a “party island”). |Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to future visitors of Koh Phi Phi!
I am very aware that paying £20 a night for a hostel means I won't be getting luxury. The pictures on booking.com however looked really nice. When I got here I wanted to cry. We got put in a room that was already pretty bad but the air con didn't work so we were moved to another which was THE dirtiest place I have ever been in. I felt dirty just sitting in it. There was mould and damp all over the walls, literally about an inch of filth on everything on the room you can literally tell that it hasn't even been cleaned a little bit in a worryingly long time. About 20 spiders in there and bugs everywhere. The only ok thing about this place is that the air con is good. We slept fully clothed and with the light on because we felt disgusting just being in it. There was a thunderstorm in the night and we woke up to water dripping all over the tv. We paid for 2 nights but gave the key in the next day and found somewhere else. Do yourself a favour and stop and the panmanee hotel round the corner, it's the same price but soooo much nicer and comfortable and we enjoyed our time on phi phi so much more when we moved there.
Honestly for the money we were paying wasn't expecting much from the room. But a little hospitality goes a long way. We arrived at Phi Phi and went on looking for the white with heavy bags and humid weather it gets a bit frustrating. We found it and waited in the "lobby" area for someone to check us in,after 15 minutes of waiting some lady walked upto us from the street and said that the rooms were full and we had to go to "The White 2" which is fine but the directions were terrible. When we got to the white 2 the lady looked like she was being forced at gunpoint to work there so it wasn't the best start. The room #102 was given to us ground floor first door to the left, room was decent clean enough but no towels. Aircon was good and the bathroom wasn't terrible. However works there starts work at 7 am and the only reason why I know this was because we were woken up to banging doors, falling objects and loud talking, almost everyday. Also when you have other guests that have no consideration of other people good luck on getting any sleep as the noise travels very far. All in all there are far better places to sleep at the same price.
Last november 2017, I went to White 2 at Phiphi Island. I realized I forgot to leave a review. Unfortunately the room was already booked by a a friend who did not take a look at the reviews. The white 2 is a mini hotel located next to a place that looks like a dump place. It stinks. I got a room full of coackroaches and i was traumatize my life to sleep over there. My friend made a complaint to the hotel to advise of the situation and while we were away to the beaches their staff sprayed it pesticides in the room without telling us. While I got back it stink chemicals. I felt obliged to sleep in this room those two nights with blanket on top of my head to toe and put tigerbalm all over the bed so i would not be javing coackroaches crawling over my face and body. Anyways I do not recommand this place at all. For the price we paid we could have got so much better. This place is a scam.
After finding the place which tucked into a corner with barely visible signage,we walked upto the receptionist who looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there ,gave us the room keys to room 102, honestly wasn't expecting much from the room but it was clean enough so my partner and i just settled in. The cupboard looked like it was about to fall apart. The WiFi connection was decent, beds were comfortable. You can literally here every single door close inside this place like they're slamming the door on your face. In the mornings they start housekeeping at around 7 am. How do I know that?. Impossible to sleep once they start,no sense of keeping it down, loudest clean up I've heard personally. I don't know how it will be on the top floors but this hotel was a very big hit and miss for me. I think for the money you pay, you could find a better place with people that actually appreciate you as a paying customer.
We arrived and found the first white handy enough then the lady said there was a second white but if we liked the room there we could stay at the first one instead of walking to the second one. So we did the room wasn't bad small and clean in fairness. We didn't want to walk any further as we had heavy bags so it's a good location for the boat. I know again you get what you pay for but while we were there we seen just as nice places for less money. In particular we went to a place across from the white called the Banthai guest house. At the start we thought the lady was a little rude but after awhile realized she was actually sound and wanted to help everyone. We went again the next day for breakfast and each time we were there she spoke to us weclomed us and thanked us!while she booked tours for people and took orders!in the white the staff barely acknowledged us. They did not seem to care if they had the busy or not. It was a shame so far we have not experienced much of the Thai friendliness that we have been told about and it's not for lack of trying. Anyways off to our next stop!
Travelled as a three and managed to get a 3bed room for 1000THB including a/c, hot water and towels. We had a lovely time, largely due to the staff who made us feel incredibly welcome with more cold drinking water and coffee than we could handle!||||Have to be honest that we were surprised by the terrible reviews on tripadvisor. It's no 5-star resort but at 330THB per person we were happy enough with a clean room, good a/c, hot water, working fridge, a key code safe deposit box and staff that couldn't have have been more keen to help. ||||We shopped around all sorts of guesthouses on the island for this sort of price range and a lot of what we saw fell far below this; so save your time and stay here!
Super friendly and helpful staff! They literally treated us as family the entire stay. Free breakfast, fruit in the afternoon and cold water whenever you want. Even though their english isn't great, they will do their best to help you with anything. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a hot shower! If you are on a budget, this is the perfect place to stay, espesically if you are travelling with a group. I would be more than happy to stay here again, and reccommend anyone going to Koh Phi Phi to book this place!
Strongly recommend this guesthouse. The family that runs it are the most friendly people, making sure you have everything you need at all times. Free coffee, ice cold water and breakfast every day. The rooms are clean and big, and they let you keep the ac on when you leave for the day. The guesthouse is located a 2 min walk from the beach, which is convenient if you want a short way home after partying. They didn't charge anything for a late checkout and treated us as family during the whole stay. If you're looking for cheap rooms and friendly staff, stay at K House 2! :D
